Partying Hard in Malta!

Malta’s clubbing scene is growing from strength to strength and seems to get bigger and better every year. The bustling nightlife runs all year round and a busy club scene attracts world renowned DJ’s like Pete Tong and Bob Sinclair.

Most of the nightclubs on the main island are situated in the busier resorts of St Julian’s, Bugibba and Sliema. In Gozo there are clubs in Marsalforn and Victoria. Paceville, which is part of St Julian’s is perhaps the most vibrant of clubbing areas in Malta and has a massive concentration of clubs, bars and restaurants. Most clubs have no cover charge and entrance fees will vary from 5-15 euros. The clubs are all in competition with each other so you can often get great deals if you are in a bigger group, and there will also often be drinks promotions.

In the summer months there are many open air venues on the island. The open air venues are beautifully designed and have a massive capacity. The most popular open air venues are located inland but can be reached in approximately 15 minutes from most of the resorts. The biggest one is Club Numero Uno which has been the host for massive club nights such as Ministry of Sound, Creamfields and Hed Kandi. Another big club is Gianpula Complex which has an incredible selection of areas to suit different clubbing tastes. If you are visiting in June you could be lucky enough to catch the Isle of MTV concert which is a free concert in which previous headline acts have been Will.i.am, Nelly Furtado and Flo Rida. After the concert, there are some great after parties!

Malta also offers party boats and these are organised by Captain Morgan cruises. These fun trips depart every evening from Sliema at 7.30pm and sail in to the sunset. There is plenty of fun to be had with great music and a fully stocked bar!

If you like to spend your days lazing in the sunshine and then party hard through the night, Malta is the perfect destination for you!
